Prenatal
Care

Dr. Tarnoff is one of only a few Webster Certified chiropractors in NJ who has been trained to work with pregnant women using this gentle, safe, and effective  technique.

Your OB-GYN, midwife, or doula may have urged you to find a Webster certified chiropractor during your pregnancy, and you may be wondering how a trained chiropractor can help you.

The Webster Technique is a chiropractic protocol that aims to restore pelvic balance and movement, allowing the uterine and pelvic floor muscles to relax, giving your baby more room to find the best position.

When the sacrum and pelvis are not functioning optimally it can cause a tightening in the uterus which reduces the amount of room available for a developing baby. This can interfere with the natural ease of labor and lead to interventions.

Alignment of the pregnant woman’s sacrum reduces stress on the uterus and often allows for better positioning of the growing baby, as well as leading to shorter and more comfortable labors.

Physical and emotional stresses from pregnancy and birth affect both mom and baby and can often create disturbances in the early weeks after giving birth. These problems can be alleviated by a practitioner trained in prenatal chiropractic care.

Potential benefits of Webster Technique:

  • Allow baby to achieve optimal fetal positioning
